A little bit about us...

Seth and I are truly a perfect match for each other! We balance out each others personalities well and really enjoy our life together! I grew up in the church and met Seth after high school. Seth was raised Christian and has great moral values and standards, so when I met him I saw a lot of potential! We dated for 4 years, when he asked me to marry him I told him YES!!!! BUT that I wanted him to at least take the missionary lessons, I really wanted to raise our family together in the church. He was willing, so we got married in 2002 and we've been married for 8 years now! AND 3 years after we were married he was baptized! :) Seriously one of the best days of my life! He is such a fantastic man and I'm so blessed to have him as my partner! We were sealed in 2006 in the San Diego Temple. Since then we purchased our home and tried to start our family. After 2 and half years of no success, we did fertility testing and figured out that the only chance of us getting pregnant would be to do in-vitro. So we did and were very blessed to get pregnant with Mitch(who is 2 now) on the first try! I LOVED being pregnant and was so lucky to have such a great and healthy pregnancy! I'm so grateful I was able to experience that! Having such a hard time getting pregnant and being blessed with Mitch has made us such great and patient parents. We were hoping that we had figured out the way to have our family, but knew we would adopt if we couldn't get pregnant again using the embryos we already had. We've tried to get pregnant again twice since then without success, which has let us know how blessed we were to get pregnant with Mitch the first time! I'm so grateful for what we learned from that trial, although it was so hard to go through it has truly made us better and stronger people AND made our relationship stronger and shown us that we are supposed to have the rest of our children another way. We have great friends and family who have adopted and shown us how wonderful an experience it can be and we are just so excited to have another child this way! Seth's sister is adopted and we cannot imagine life without her, she is an amazing woman! So hopefully that gives you a little more info on us, please feel free to ask us anything! You can email us at sethandheather@hotmail.com

I'm so glad when Daddy comes home!

Mitch gets so happy when Daddy come home from work! Seth works 24 hour shifts 2-3 days a week, so he always gets home in the morning. Mitch can sometimes hear the garage door open and will run to it or wait for Daddy to come in to surprise him! SO CUTE! They usually have a good time wrestling and playing afterwards too. I got out the camera for one of their reunions, check it out...

And some video...

Mommy and Mitch Time!

Mitch and I took advantage of a nice day and went to Disneyland all by ourselves for a little Mommy and Mitch time! We love having our passes! It was so fun and I will cherish the that time we had together! It was the day he turned 22 months too, he is getting so big and is really getting a hang of Disneyland and what to expect there! It's not as crazy as it once was, he much better at standing in line and loves most of the rides... he did not like Matterhorn. Luckily I made up for it with all the fun, less scary rides we did after! Here are the photos from our time together...

Yep! Definitely scared of Matterhorn! :(

But loved the Teacups!

And Casey's Train(cute video below too!)

Holding hands in line for Winnie the Pooh! :)

Enjoying the psychadelic colors in Winnnie the Pooh!

Sharing some ice cream in line for Toy Story Mania!

He actually scored some points on this one all by himself!

And us on the Swinging Ferris Wheel, he was "weeeeeeeeeeeeing" on this the whole time! We did all this in a matter of 3 hours! 2 parks + 6 rides = Happy Mommy & Son Time!

And some video! He is really into trains right now, so he LOVED Casey's train!

Daddy is a Firefighter

Have I said that Mitch is lucky yet?? ;) We visited Seth at work, we went to hang out and have dinner! This was the day that I think Mitch finally got that his Dad had the coolest job ever!! He was so excited to see the engine and we got there when they were on a call so he got to see Seth come riding in on the engine and then soon after take off on another call! He was so jazzed, super cute!! Once they got back Seth made us and his fellow firemen a delicious dinner and we hung out for the evening! Pretty much a perfect Sunday night! We love that Daddy has his dream job!! Here are some cute photos from the visit...

Family Cabin

We are so blessed first off! Heather parents recently bought a cabin for the family to have for fun getaways! They told us at Thanksgiving that they found a place and they had an offer in, but it fell through. Which ended up being a blessing because they found a much better place and it worked out!! ;) Everything about it is much better for the grandchildren who will be visiting it! We were all so excited and we just took our first trip there as a big family and Mitch was in heaven, all of us were! Such a fun little area and it gets snow, but not too much and just the right amount of space for our family! Thanks so much Mom and Dad for doing this for the family, it is AWESOME!!! Looking forward to all the fun memories we will create there! It is only an hour away for us so we went for a few days and had a blast! Here are some photos of our first trip there...

We went to the lake for some fun, Mitch was so excited to play in the snow!! His first time actually! ;)

He became OBSESSED with carrying chunks of snow over to throw into the lake! So hilarious! Got some good video of it down below!

My little Bro Tyler and Me, he is 10 years younger... I just have to say that I think we look the same age here! So either he looks old OR I look young... I'm going with the I look young!! ;) YAYA!

Hiking Together

Mitch is a lucky boy to have a Daddy like Seth! Mommy had plans with a friend, so while I was gone Seth took Mitch on a fun outing with our friends! He had a great time and took an awesome nap after! Thanks Daddy for being so fun!! He even remembered to put on sunscreen and to grab the camera to take photos for Mommy! Yay!! Here they are...

While they were gone I was at Ikea getting stuff to make under our stairs more organized for our food storage/emergency supplies! I'm so excited!!! We are almost fully prepared, such a great feeling! Check out the new shelfs...

Some Family Time

We got together with Seth's family for his Mom's birthday this last weekend and took a trip to this little lake to take a walk and not feed the ducks. We really did feed them, but you're not supposed to cause they don't want the ducks to get fat... hmmmm. They actually had a sign with a photo of a duck with "FAT" written underneath it!! It was hilarious! Well we now have another reason why you shouldn't feed the ducks and the one crazy goose that dwells there! They attacked us and followed us around the whole time!! It's like they NEVER get fed or something! ;) Seriously tho, that goose was crazy and I was videotaping when it attacked me! I just wish I had gotten better coverage of it, cause it really pecked me good on the back of the leg when I ran away! It's like it smells fear! Seth's mom who is a vegetarian said "I want to cook that goose!" LOL! The video is at the bottom of this post for your viewing pleasure! We also got some cute photos before we realized how crazy the goose was too...

Mitch and Grandma :)

The ducks and the crazy goose realizing we have food!

Mitch throwing them some food

We love living close to both sides of our families, holidays are so fun all together! Here is a glimpse into Heather's side of the family Christmas festivities...
The little Shepherd boy so excited to be dressed up!!

Waiting patiently...

Starting to lose patience...

About done, unfortunately it took a while for all the kids to get dressed up and it was Mitch's regular nap time. We don't sweat it tho, makes for good memories! ;)

And here is where he starts to lose it!

Yep, we're done!! Oh Holy Night, the shepherds getting crazy! And the Angel is about to jo-oin-oin him! ;)

It's all over now Mitch.. it's ok.

Me and my handsome man! MEEP! That's how he still makes me feel!

His cousins opening the gifts(Zhu Zhu Pets) from Mitch, they were a hit thankfully!
